Aquatic Biogeochemistry
The Schutte Research Group generates knowledge that is required to plan for future global change. Our primary research goal is to predict how climate change and other human disturbances alter the efficiency of the nitrogen removal and carbon burial ecosystem services that aquatic environments provide. In meeting this goal, we provide valuable insights for natural resource managers and policy makers that will help to maintain, protect, and restore aquatic ecosystems and the services that they provide.

Undergraduate Students
Our research is largely undergraduate-driven. If you are a Rowan University undergraduate student looking for research opportunities, let's talk!
Graduate / Postdoc
I do not have any funded opportunities to work as a graduate student or postdoc in the research group. Get in touch if you would like to discuss applying for a fellowship.
Collaborators
I am always looking for new collaborations! I hope that you'll read more about our research and check out what we're capable of in the Aquatic Biogeochemistry Laboratory.
